We worship goddess kaali usually illustrated as wearing a garland of skulls around her neck and having four arms, the four upper limbs carry a sword, a trident, a severed head dripping blood, and a skull cup catching the blood. But still we worship kaali as kaali maa (mother) because we know the myth behind that kaali form. Similarly we should respect the artist’s imagination when he depicts lord hanuman in such a robust and monstrous form while on a fight against evils (Asuras).
